A facilitated session for Operating Authority staff to work through the update of their risk assessment. On-the-job practical training hours are provided to participants.
Risk assessment updates are necessary to ensure the currency of information and validity of the assumptions used in previous risk assessments conducted.
This session is facilitated by Acclaims Environmental Inc. and an up-to-date risk assessment record will be provided.
Learning objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to describe:
requirements for conducting risk assessments and updates,
their utility's risk assessment procedures and rating schemes for assessing risk (e.g. likelihood and consequence ratings),
strategies that can be applied in risk management,
the important correlation between risk assessment, monitoring of critical control limits and emergency preparedness.
